Teen killed in Galesburg shooting | Crime

A teen is dead following a shooting in the basement of a home in Galesburg, Illinois.

Police said Isaiah Stevenson, 18, died as a result of a single gunshot early Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Olive Street just before 2 a.m.  They found Stevenson in the basement of the home.  He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they arrested 20-year-old Cody Delacruz in connection with the shooting. Delacruz lives at the address where the shooting occurred.

Police said they were charging Delacruz with involuntary manslaughter.

Delacruz was held in the Knox County Jail.
